Classes introduce news and opinion from various online media outlets and publicly-generated sources. Participant involvement in choosing weekly content is encouraged to focus in on your interests. Natural and meaningful English communication skills will flourish through group interaction and discussion getting to the heart of each story/topic. During this course, participants will become familiar with the peculiarities of mass media, bias, different journalistic styles, and how to disseminate facts from misinformation and untrustworthy sources.
